Introduction

In our group we investigate the dynamics of reactions and collisions in both the gas phase and at the gas-liquid interface, using a variety of laser systems. Our investigations provide detailed information on reaction mechanisms and translational and internal energy transfer processes. These interactions are fundamentally important to understand fully a wide range of practical phenomena, including, for example, reactions in the upper atmosphere and in combustion.

Dye laser Our cutting-edge experiments employ state-of-the-art spectroscopic methods coupled with high-vacuum systems and real-time data acquisition electronics. To find out more about our current research, click on the "Experiments" section at the top. This has details on all the techniques we employ, as well as recent results obtained.

We are always interested in people who are keen to join our group. For this, or for more general enquiries/information on any aspect of our group and please feel free to contact us.
